Goosebumps moment: Finally we were allowed to see our freshly painted Mercedes-Benz 400E with our own eyes. Smoke Silver (702) became "Californian Rockhard Gold". This makes our crew car the first vehicle in the world to wear this special paint. The color was developed in the BASF Color Design Studio in Münster. Over the last few months, the team at Krüger Classic the 400E with this gold paint.

When the curtain came down and the Benz was suddenly standing in front of us in "Californian Rockhard Gold", we didn't quite know whether to cry or cheer - we've probably never seen such an awesome color on a W124 before. Bull's eye! The gloss turned rims in "plate design" harmonize fantastically with the paint. The H&R lowering does the rest and makes the 400E look sporty and elegant. It's hard to believe that this vehicle is now over 30 years old. "Californian Rockhard Gold" makes the W124 look quite modern and fits very well to a vehicle that originates from California. Depending on the light and sunlight, the gold tone always looks different. If you get very close to the paint with your eyes, you can see small particles in the paint that create a minimal flake effect. The camera can't capture that at all. Fabulous! You really have to see this BEAUTIFUL STARS with your own eyes! On TikTok, the 400E has already created quite a stir. In the meantime, the videos of the 400E have already been clicked on more than 500,000 times. You can call that a little hype.

For more than three years now, we have been working on our project car, which found its way back to Germany from Los Angeles shortly before the Corona pandemic. Despite its disheveled condition, we decided to rebuild the 400E with the help of partners and sponsors. And we readily admit: The road within these three years was rocky: setbacks and challenges were the order of the day. Sleepless nights, missing spare parts and problems that had to be solved made the project so intense that the Benz has really grown on the entire team. We won't be giving it away again anytime soon...

In case you are wondering: The front windshield of the 400E is currently not installed, because in the near future the work in the interior is pending, and thus also the headliner will be renewed.
Next the 400E will go to SCHAWE. In the SCHAWE manufactory in Waltrop the most refined conversions based on Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-AMG vehicles are built on the former site of the Waltrop colliery. Anyone who wants to give their star an extra dose of love is in the best hands at SCHAWE. Here, exclusivity and individuality are in the foreground. Together with the two SCHAWE managing directors Daniel Wesner and Marc Schammert, we are now thinking about how we can individualize the interior of the W124 to match the rest of the vehicle. Let us surprise ourselves...
